Hi. My favorite animal is the African wild dog. Their scientific name is: Lycaon Pictus. They are the most vicious dogs in the world. The African wild dog has many common names, including painted wolf, cape hunting dog, and try colored dog. No two wild dogs have the same pattern on their coats, making it easy for researches to identify individual dogs. Long legs and a lean body give the African wild dogs both endurance and speed. They can run extended distances at speeds up to 35 miles per hour.
Wild dogs are best adapted to hunt medium-sized antelope, but have been knownto hunt rabbits, buffalo calves, and zebras.
